Journals should show account codes in the drop down menus when choosing which accounts to post transactions to.

To be more precise, the issue is that account codes should show in the drop down menus when are choosing which account to post transactions to.

I can definitely see the merit in this for some but isn't something i'd personally want at all so i'd suggest it's implemented as a toggle feature as opposed a blanket approach.

Indeed - as it is with many other software packages. Out of interest, though, why would you not want it? And what is the point of account codes unless you can select the nominals by them?

Honestly Phil, unless i'm bulk importing I pay little attention to account codes. I appreciate i'm very possibly in the minority there in our world.

I was brought up using VT which omits account codes completely. I prefer the simplistic approach, less clutter.
