how to register for vat in uae

Problem reported by peter nemesis 4 months ago

The VAT is introduced in UAE on 1 st Jan 2018. The rate of vat is 5% per annum on revenue of the company. The VAT applies to equally tax-registered businesses managed on the UAE mainland and in the free zones. If the company has more than AED 375,000 each year then one needs to do the vat registration in uae. So I have a company in UAE which is based on the import-export company I have valid registration or Commercial License copies, but I don't know how to register for VAT in FTA. and what are the main documents need to do that if anyone knows then help me?

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately, we would not be able to assist with this as we do not have knowledge on UAE VAT. I would advise speaking to an accountant that is knowledgeable regarding UAE VAT.

All the best,

Mohamed.
