IMPORTANT we need a detailed log of emails sent for payment requests and when its opened.

Problem reported by William Davison 1 week ago

We have a large corporate customer who is claiming they only saw a 1st April sent invoice on 14 May, yet the invoice shows as opened on the 1st April. Some accounts departments can be vague or disingenuous about when an email was first sent and read by them. Too often they claim they only just seen the invoice months and after it was sent and then impose payment terms starting when they claim to of first read email which we know not to be true.

We need much better tracking of when each invoice and reminder is sent and record when the invoice is open and the ideally the IP address of the users opening it, as we can open the invoice and putting in the wrong date.

The log should include the Date and time sent and the To, CC, BC email addresses for each email sent. And when it was opened and the IP.

This is very important and has been suggested before, its really not good enough to say its just been sent without date or who its been sent to or when it was opened, we need better evidence.

Hi William,

You can access this information from the email history section at the bottom of the invoice, or from the Contacts -> Emails page where all sent emails are listed along with the date and time, and who it was sent to.

Tommy

Thanks sorry I had not notice that, it seems to cover most of my needs.
