Request to Increase File Upload Limit in Bills Inbox Subject: Request to Increase Maximum File Size for Bills Inbox Uploads
Description:
We have identified a limitation in the Bills inbox upload feature that is causing operational issues for our frontline teams.
Current Behaviour The Bills inbox upload tool restricts file uploads to 5 MB per file.
However, when submitting receipts via email, attachments larger than 5 MB are accepted without any issues.
Operational Impact Our frontline operatives frequently scan receipts using mobile phones. These images typically range between 6–7 MB each. Because of the 5 MB upload limit:
Users are unable to upload these receipts directly through the Bills inbox.
Bulk uploads become impossible when files exceed the limit.
Staff must rely on email as a workaround, which is slower and less efficient.
This inconsistency between upload methods creates confusion and delays.
Request We request that the maximum file size for the Bills inbox upload feature be increased from 5 MB to 10 MB per file.
Justification Email ingestion already supports attachments above 5 MB, demonstrating that the backend can handle larger files.
Increasing the limit would align the upload tool with real-world usage and remove unnecessary friction for frontline staff.
This change would significantly improve workflow efficiency and reduce administrative overhead.
Outcome Sought Please confirm whether the upload limit can be increased to 10 MB, or advise on alternative solutions that would allow larger files to be uploaded in bulk through the Bills inbox interface.
