How do you cancel a recurring invoice created in a locked accounting period?

I created a recurring invoice for a monthly subscription paid by direct debit back in 2011 so invoices could be sent out automaatically every month. The client now want to cancel but I can cancel the recurring invoice template as created in a locked accounting period. Any suggestations?

Hi Gilly,

Once you unlock the period at Settings > Periods you will be able to delete the template for the recurring invoices.
