Email verification not working

I have set up a project with a different invoice template and 'from email'.

Every time I try to send an invoice with this new email I get a yellow warning message saying that the alternative email address has not been verified and I so the email will come from my main email address. I also get an email in my inbox to say that I need to click a link to verify the new email address. I click this link (I've probably done it about 10 different times) and it just takes me to my CB dashboard. The email address appears to remain unverified.
