Adding NO VAT scheme doesn't work

Problem reported by [Archived User] 12 years ago

I choose NO VAT REGISTERED and leave everything blank and it keeps telling me:

Date Start: Please do not leave empty
The prior VAT period must have a finish date before a new VAT period can be added.

What's the deal with this?

ClearBooks treats not being VAT registered as a VAT scheme, which I suppose it is in a way! So you have to give a start date for the scheme, which if you have never been VAT registered will be the start date for your ClearBooks account. You can leave the end date blank, as of course it is ongoing.

Thank you Stephen. I figured that out, but I had to add end date otherwise it wouldn't let me through.
