Multi Project Clients

I am still fairly new to Clearbooks so still trying to navigate my way round the system, which I have to say is really easy to use in most cases.

Apart from this issue, we have clients with multi projects, that have different project leaders who we need to invoice. is there a facility to assign invoices to individual projects rather than the main client contact.

So far I have to keep going into the main client details and change the contact name, but this then changes the details on all current invoices when you go to print or email. So frustrating and time consuming!!

Hi Lorraine,

You can assign an invoice to a project, but this is useful for reporting purposes mostly and will not change the contact on the invoice.

What you need to do is to open the Edit Customer screen for that company and add the project heads as Additional Contacts.

When you are creating or editing an invoice for that company these additional contacts will be available for selection under the Billing Contact dropdown menu. Selecting them here will cause their name to appear on the invoice rather than the main contact.

Their email addresses will also appear as options when emailing the invoice.

I have tried what you suggested but for some reason it is not holding the additional contacts. I have tried with both my account and the main administration account.

Do you mean that when you add the additional contacts and then click the Save button they are not saving?

If so, would you mind raising this as a Support ticket by emailing contact support. Please include in the email the name of the customer you are trying to add the additional contacts for.
