How to record payment for initial share capital

Hello,

I've been trying out your system and have managed to set the shareholder structure up (Tools > Dividends > Shareholders). My question is this: I paid for that initial share capital with a payment to the company's bank account. So when I imported the company's bank statement from a .csv, that payment sits waiting to be "explained". What do I need to do here to record the payment "from and to" correctly? Only I see that in the Account-dropdown menu in the transaction tab, I can pick 'Share capital', so that is presumably what I pick there, but what about for the 'From' option? Do I need to add myself as a customer - and then pick myself from the 'From' dropdown?

Hi Gregory,

Yes, that is correct - you can create a new contact as yourself and use this in the from dropdown list when explaining the transaction.
