Lookup rules

Question asked by Chris Keith 8 years ago

Can I create a lookup rule that looks for a certain length string? E.g. as below

Type: Payment Reference: 28540654VU232821L

These references come from Paypal transactions and each seems to be different except they are the same length i.e. a series of 17 letters and numbers. Is there a symbol or code that can be entered instead of the letters and numbers in the search term to pick up this string e.g.

Type: Purchase Reference: ?????????????????

I tried 17 question marks as above and 17 exclamation marks but neither worked. Any ideas welcome!

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately, there is no symbol/code that can be entered instead of a number/letter.

The search term would need to show any section of the payment reference used to the exact letter/number. It's therefore not likely to be a solution for mass explaining Paypal transactions.

Thanks,

Michael
