Payroll - amendment to employee payroll figure

Question asked by Helen Stephens 8 years ago

Hi,

I have been advised that an employee has been underpaid in last months payroll (26th Jan) and I need to recalculate their pay with their new commission figure and pay the difference to them. Please can you advise whether there is a particular process in regards to resubmitting the FPS to the HMRC through Clearbooks after I have already submitted this data on 26th Jan.

Many thanks in advance of your assistance, Helen

Hi Helen,

Apologies, it looks like this query got missed. Once you had recalculated the pay the system should have prompted you to submit the FPS as usual. The newly submitted report will have updated HMRC's system with the new figures.

From the Clear Books point of view this is all you need to do, however if you are making a late submission it may be best to contact HMRC directly and see what they advise.

I hope that helps.

All the best.
