vat

Question asked by Graham Orme 8 years ago

Clear books seems to believe a vat creditor is a trade creditor ,it is NOT

Hi Graham - you can switch this off in Toggle features, after which the liability is posted to the VAT payable account.

Many businesses prefer to see all their debts in one place, ie aged creditors, which is why this defaults to creating a bill from HMRC. PAYE and salary debts are also created as bills from the payroll but, as with VAT, expense claims from employees can be switched to a journal basis in Toggles.
