I want to do an invoice for sale of used cars that does not show VAT. Under the margin scheme you only show the gross price and VAT is only charged on the profir which we do not want to show on the invoice. Can we do an invoice like this in ClearBooks
Hi Alison,
We currently do not have an option for Margin VAT scheme. The only VAT rate you can choose to reflect no VAT would be Exclude from VAT return, zero-rated or manual. Would this be suitable for your case?

One suggestion would be to do the "Exclude from Vat return" invoice for the customer and then copy this and edit to create the VAT invoice, showing manual VAT at the margin calculation. You could then Void the customer's invoice which would still be available in the Void filter as a record?
