Emails bouncing back

Hi, last night and again this morning I have had a quote and an invoice undelivered from clearbooks. Totally different customers. They are receiving them from my outlook fine. Is there a glitch in your system?

Hi Andrew,

This is likely because Outlook is preventing outside companies (like us) from using their servers to send emails. The information in this support guide will help.

Ensuring your Clear Books Emails are not rejected by recipients

We have now created a Clear Books 'no reply' email address that you can switch to instead of using the SMTP settings, to make sure that your emails are received by contacts. This is found on the Account page.


I've never had this problem before and have emailed these clients many times. What's changed?

I don't want a no reply address as I do want them to reply to my quotes etc.

Outlook will have changed their restrictions, so we have to adapt to the change to enable your emails to be received by your contacts.

You will need to set your SMTP settings, as shown in the guide and links. This information can be found in your Outlook email settings.

We have our own domain do not that easy. I will have to consult someone else regarding this.
