Hello, How can we set up a manufacturing account in the software
You can create an account code as shown above by heading to Settings > Accounting > Account Codes > Create Account code. Give it an account name, then click Add New Account Type - again, specify a name and select C.O.S as the category.
You cannot remove the account type, but you can recreate the correct one under the correct category.
Lastly, are there any transactions posted to the accounts within the period you're running the P&L?

Hi Mercy,
Are you referring to an account code? If so, you can create account codes by heading to Settings > Accounting > Account Codes > Create Account code.

We want to get another category that will have manufacturing
That is the point. we can create manufacturing (account type) but also want it as a category under P&L, we do not want it under cost of sales
You are not able to create a new category, you can create a new account type under the provided categories, which helps the system determine whether it is a P&L or Balance sheet item. For example, if you select Cost of Sales, it will show like so:

steps to create the manufacturing cost the way it is shown above
I initially created one manufacturing account type mistakenly under revenue, how do i delete it?
Also some of the accounts we created do not show in the P&L

Lastly, are there any transactions posted to the accounts within the period you're running the P&L?= No
If there are no transactions posted to the account within the period you are running the P&L, the account will not show.
