Thank you for your help. We are not very IT compliant and having looked at CBMicro we feel that is the way to go at present. Having been in business 40 years Evrite (one of the most well known UK account Books) have always been easy to use and efficient. Do we still use the same log in for micro or do we have to log into another.

Do we have to create a sales Invoice for takings? Also invoices paid with discount how do we enter as the vat and totals differ to the original invoice. I assume also that we have to create 2 lines for invoices with a mixture of vat ratings.

Hi Derek,

Yes indeed.

Do you mean you apply a settlement discount when a customer pays early?

Yes indeed - you would need to create an invoice with each line showing the appropriate VAT rate.

Our financial year ends today and we were looking at starting a Clear Books account as at present we do them manual. However we are totally confused. Why could someone not programme an account as though they were doing it in Evrite account books, so simple. Can I email you away from this public forum?

Hi Derek,

I'm not sure I have heard of Evrite - is that what you used before? Sure you can email contact support

I see cool - do you have an accountant using Clear Books at the moment? I only ask as you will need an accountant currently to link your Micro account to Clear Books which will then allow the accountant to submit VAT returns (soon to be MTD VAT submissions) i.e Micro on it's own does not have this functionality at present.
