Yodlee / Clydesdale Bank

Question asked by Ruth Thomson 4 months ago

We bank with Clydesdale Bank and since they introduced their new security for on-line banking in September there have been no automatic yodlee imports and their on-line banking no longer lets you export transactions to CSV. Any ideas on when this will change or will we have to wait for open banking.

Hi Ruth.

Just to explain further on your point regarding open banking. The way the current screen scraping technology works is that you provide your credentials to Yodlee, and they have a program that logs in to your bank, as if it were you, to scrape the data from the bank statement menu and feed this data back to a database. The program will experience the same things you do when you log in, so if you are asked for a security number from a card reader, then it too will need this number. Have you tried to click refresh on the feed under Tools > integrations > Yodlee?

As for open banking - we don't have any of the details on how automation will work at the moment so I can't promise anything there.

All the best,

Mohamed.

Hi Ruth,

Unfortunately, I am not sure. It is possible that due to the change in their security the feeds have been affected. If you raise raise a support request by emailing support@clearbooks.co.uk I can escalate this to Yodlee support for further investigation.

All the best,

Mohamed.
