Can CB be used as a bridging software to import my excel sheets ?

Can CB be used as a bridging software to import my excel sheets ?, at the moment I have not done all payments from my 1 bank account showing both income and outcome from the same bank I have used excel spreadsheets for the previous 5 years. Can I use CB to do this until I have migrated all my income and outcome expenditure from the same bank account starting in 1st Apr 2026?

Hi Wai,

Clear Books is not a 'bridging software', instead, it is HMRC-recognised MTD accounting software that is designed to be your permanent digital record-keeping system.

You can import your spreadsheet as a bank statement, but requires separate columns for the following: date, description, amount/ money in & money out. Please see: How to import a statement file

Once imported, you must then explain each transaction, please see: How to explain income and expenses on an imported statement
