I've just signed up, just checking if figures are entered inclusive or exclusive of vat?
Hi Kevin,
Can I confirm if you are VAT registered? I can see you are on the Sole Trader Free plan which doesn't support VAT, when you use the Record income or Record expenses buttons on your Dashboard, you should simply enter the total figure you received or paid into the Amount field.

Thank you for your response. Yes I am vat registered for which I have current MTD software. However I would be looking to use clear books for both tax and vat from April 26. I imagine this software will be suitable once I subscribe ? regards, Kevin
Hi Kevin,
No problem and yes, in this case, once you subscribe to the Sole Trader + VAT plan, you will have the option to enter the VAT amount alongside the net amount.
