Paypal and Zettle

Question asked by Christo Wallers 2 days ago

I have added two bank accounts alongside my business current account - Paypal and Zettle. I occasionally transfer funds from my paypal to my Business account. I am a bit unsure how to make this all tally in Clear Books. I want to import .csv files from both Paypal and Zettle. My Paypal includes all zettle transactions but without the metadata related to the transaction. My paypal includes other transactions unrelated to the zettle. Should I delete all POS transactions from my Paypal .csv? Or should I not bother with the zettle .csv and just import everything through Paypal.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Christo,

I have taken a look and can see you have set up our direct integration with Paypal. In this case, you will not need to manually import csv files. Instead, you can trigger a direct import by clicking on Bank Accounts on the dashboard, click Direct Import for Paypal where you can then specify the import start date. You can also enable automatic imports by clicking Edit for the Paypal account > Select Yes in the Automatic Import dropdown.

As your Paypal account includes all the Zettle transactions, you will not need to import a statement for the Zettle account. You will just need to explain the transactions on the Paypal statement.

I had already imported the zettle .csv and was able to keep useful metadata which did not show up in the paypal .csv. How do I now delete the zettle account and all of the transactions that I had explained?
