Integration

Question asked by Charles Moga 11 years ago

Hello, Is ClearBooks open for third party integrations? One of the things that made JIRA (http://www.atlassian.com) was the fact that they enabled third parties to develop plgins and that integrate with their core system. They now have a huge markeplace with vendors providing various tools. I am wondering if and when ClearBooks will b opennign this channel.

Cheers Charles

Hi Charles,

Thanks for your post in Community.

We currently offer a range of integrations. For example with a third party bank import tool called Yodlee, which once set up automatically updates your statements in the system, Capsule CRM for managing your client base and Receipt Bank. Within Clear Books we also has a range of additional apps for HR, Payroll and document management which are fully integrated to the main system.

For a full list of all Clear Books and third party integrations please visit the following page: http://www.clearbooks.co.uk/tour/integrations

We use Jira, for our internal task management, however it is not something we currently offer our customers.

I hope this helps answer your questions.

Many Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris, Thanks a lot for getting back and the information. Regarding JIRA I was not asking you to offer but giving as a example. I use the Open Payroll but haven't used any of the third party add-ons. So to clarify, by integration do you a standalone system that communicates with ClearBooks via developer APIs or like case of JIRA a system that actually becomes integral (e.g. additional menu)? Let's say I want to integrate our timesheet system with ClearBooks so I can easily generate invoices. How will that integrate f not via the developer API?

Regards Charles

Clear Books has a range of fully integrated functions, Charles. To take your example of Timesheets, our software already can create these, however, if you were to create these in another system it is possible to import them into Clear Books too.

This is actually possible with a range of different information types, for example statements, bills and invoices. You can upload the information directly into Clear Books and our software will deal with it if it is in CSV format.

However, regarding direct integration with other third party services, it is only those in the link I sent in my previous message at the moment.

Thanks

Chris
