Question asked by Graham Denney 10 years ago

Hi, how do I create a statement for a particular customer that shows only Unpaid items for both sales and purchases?

Hi Graham,

Unfortunately the customer statement cannot be edited to allow for particular searches such asUnpaid Items as the current customer statements give you an overview of the entirety of your customer. The best method to see Unpaid Items for a customer would be to filter unpaid invoices by the customer. However you could add this as an idea on our Ideas section to allow for customers to edit the customer statement if you wanted to do so.

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick response. I have no problem getting a statement of unpaid sales invoices, but what i wanted was it to also include unpaid purchases as well. Like a balance statement that i can send them. This particular customer is one we have both sales and purchases for. They buy our service and we also buy hardware from them. At the moment we just keep sending reminders back and forth and it would be nice to have a single statement that shows the balance.

Sorry if I'm not being clear, it makes sense in my head but i might not be getting that across lol

Hi Graham,

Thanks for clearing that up. The closest report type I can think of to what you are describing would be the full customer statement. To get to this you can navigate toSales > Customers > All and then click on the customer in question. Then you should get the option to click on 'Full Statement'. Through that you can see any bills and invoices attributed with the customer. Other than that unfortunately there is no other method.

Thanks,
