Hide Salary Account

Hi

The way your instructions show to post individual salaries processed out side of clearbooks means that everybody with access to the purchase ledger can see this info?

Is there a way to make it private?

Hi Leanne & Kevin,

There is actually a user permission setting called 'Bills paid to employees'. If you switch this off then the OP generated bills will not show up to that user.

This is the access of our apprentice who inputs purchase invoices, bills paid to employees is not selected yet she can see all expenses and wages?

I think the point here is they want to set a user privilege that removes the ability to view bills created that relate to wage payments.

As far as I know, it's not possible Leanne but certainly a good idea.

Yes we do have access but our payroll is done by external accountants and we only post the actual bank transaction to employees. Kevin is right, its user settings/access issues that we're having. As above, there is a category 'bills paid to employees' in the use settings but it doesn't appear to be working.

Just a thought: within the suppliers menu, are the employees actually set to employees?

Hi Leanne,

Kevin is correct, you are not able to hide certain types of bills only. If you want to hide bills from a particular user then that will hide them all. There is no option at the moment to pick and choose. However, if you would like to see this feature, and it sounds like it could get some support, then please do add it to the ideas section here on Community.

Of course, if you were to use OpenPayroll you would be able to restrict would can see and add what to that element.

Yes they are Kevin but thanks for thinking about it :)

I'm not sure how we would use the open payroll for our needs? At the moment we follow the advice in the clearbooks help manual for payroll processed outside of clearbooks.

Just to confirm, would using Open Payroll stop a user being able to see the subsequent bill raised in Clear Books itself? I know you can restrict OP access but if the bill is still raised within CB and the apprentice has access to it there's no benefit anyway.
