Lack of Project or Subsidiary Reporting.

Idea suggested by Andy Gambles 7 years ago

I currently have 3 companies however only one company has any bank accounts. The other two companies trade with the "main company". As an example I may get an invoice for Company B but then I would pay this invoice from Company A bank account and bill Company B from Company A although no physical money moves between company B and company A.

They are also part of a VAT group and so VAT has to be reported via the one Main Company. I thought we could manage these intra company transactions using Projects in Clearbooks. However it seems Clearbooks only provides P&L reporting for Projects and does provide Balance Sheet reporting for Projects.

It seems the only other way to do this is have 3x Clearbooks subscriptions. The issue then comes with VAT reporting since the VAT reports need merging into one. I can do a manual submission but then it requires many Journal entries to sort it out in Clearbooks.

Is there no way of being able to manage a main company and essentially 2 subsidiaries within Clearbooks.
