It would be helpful to have a direct link to the transactions featured on the audit log as opposed to just the reference number. It would also be handy to see more details such as the entity, amount, nominal etc.

That is something I am very keen on as well. It will help greatly especially for accountants.
We may be looking at enhancing the audit log to include VAT return submission, VAT return creation, having the hyperlinks and maybe some Open Payroll adjustments audit log.
Hopefully we can get this done as it is a great addition to the audit log.
