Eemail alerts on a payment received?

I would like to get an e-mail alert every time a customer invoice in my organisation is paid.
Accounting

- an email going to the client thanking them for payment.
This is a really good idea, I would like an option to be alerted by e-mail whenever a sales invoice is paid
Advanced features could be:
- Select alerts for specific invoices
- Select alerts for specific customers
- Select alerts for range of amounts (more than X, less than X, between X and Y)
