Manage import mappings update

What is it and what does it do?

When you import a file into Clear Books for the first time, you need to match spreadsheet columns to the data fields in Clear Books. These import mapping rules are then saved for future reference to save time when importing files again.

The import mappings tool has now been improved, with a new design making it easier and more intuitive to use.

The previous design was slightly confusing to use, as you had to tick a checkbox and click ‘view’ in order to subsequently view any further options.

Now, the page is much cleaner and you simply click the relevant import mapping to view more details and manage the settings.

How do I start using it?

This new design will be in Clear Books Preview until December 14th, when it will become a permanent feature in all accounts.

To turn the new design on straight away, click Preview in the drop down menu at the top of your dashboard or click here.

Then navigate to Money > Import Rules > Mappings
