Changes to Backup and Restore Functions

The Backup and Restore capability within Clear Books has always been an important feature, and one which we know is popular with a number of users. Due to the migration of Clear Books to AWS how we handle backups is changing.

In November 2017 we will be launching some improvements to the Backup and Restore functionality, but whilst we finalise this work, users can still restore their data to a point within the previous 30 days.

Hi Sripriya,

.cbo files are a Clear Books backup that can only be opened by restoring it to the original Clear Books account that they were created from. I hope this helps.
