Better navigation, layout and terminology
- Main fixed assets list changes
- The fixed asset summary has been moved to a separate page
- Filter by asset status and category
- Each asset’s depreciation schedule is now displayed
- The columns are now arranged in a more logical sequence: cost, depreciation, and net book value.
- The additional net book value column is now optional
- Process assets page has been renamed to “Process depreciation“
- Archived assets page has been moved to the end
Easier asset creation
- Side-by-side page layout for improved visibility
- Depreciation account fields are pre-populated by the cost account selection
- Straight-forward depreciation start - choose which month depreciate from
Note: The fixed asset module has always, and continues, to calculate depreciation for whole months only. Previously, a specific depreciation start date was recorded, with the first depreciation only calculated for the next full calendar month after that start date. Following this change, the first month that depreciation is calculated is presented more clearly on this screen.
Attach files to fixed assets
- Attach related files or documents to your fixed assets
Depreciation clarity
- To make it easier to find and use, the “Auto depreciation” setting is displayed in the process depreciation page
- Outstanding depreciation now shows a breakdown of the amount calculated for each asset and each month where depreciation is due
