The income does not match the Q1-Q4 totals I've gone through the procedure detailed

Hi Gillian,

To resolve this, you must head into your MTD Tax Return account for Gillian Frances Edwards and follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard.

  2. Click on the income total shown next to each self-employment income source, such as Gillian Edwards Consulting.

  3. Scroll down and click Add under Periods of Account and input the period.

  4. Once you have submitted this information, please click the Refresh calculation button on the dashboard again.

Hi there.

On the review page before submission, it's showing my income and expenses as expected, but it's not taken into account my CIS suffered like it does in reporting. How do I ensure this is detailed in the submission to HMRC?

Thanks.

Hi Thomas,

HMRC do not want the CIS suffered included in your quarterly returns. Instead, these deductions are accounted for in the final tax calculation at the end of the year, which is managed via your separate MTD Tax Return account. You can open this if you haven't already by hovering over your business name at the top right > Add MTD Tax return.
