I am playing with a free trial version. when I go to enter a customer it requires further company information. when I change the end of financial year date it upgrades but does not change anything?

Would it be possible to check the Settings>Periods menu and make sure there is a reporting period which covers the current date? Also make sure you have a VAT scheme (VAT registered or not) which covers the current date too:

Same problem here. Have set reporting period 6/4/15 to 5/4/16, Vat to None. Keep getting the same request for company information and the financial year end keeps reseting to 31/10/2015
