E mails not converting

Problem reported by Judith Barker 9 years ago

When I click on 'e mail' to send an invoice, the e mail cover note no longer automatically changes from unformatted text format into a readable email format. I have not changed any settings or the browser I use (Mozilla Thunderbird). Below is a sample of the unformatted text. How do I fix this?

Dear Alistair,

We have created a new invoice for you. Please click on the link below to view your invoice, or see the attached PDF.

Hi Judith,

We know this is a problem and are already working on a fix.

Hi Lajos. I presume this is linked to the fact we haven't been able to amend email templates since the back-end of last week?

Hi Kevin,

I am not sure, do you have a ticket or could you explain it in more detail?

This is the bug where the email you want to send shows up without the editor, so you can't edit the email and you see the sourcecode of the template.

For a workaround on this, Firefox removed a feature so it may work in Chrome for now.

We haven't been able to amend email templates since the back end of last week, using both Chrome and Edge. Clicking the invoice/reminder/payment/prompt..... headings is just completely unresponsive, all we see if the list of placeholders as though we've clicked the 'i'.

That screenshot is taken after clicking 'statement'.

Hi Kevin,

It may be the same problem, it's an issue with the editor.

Sadly I am not too sure how this page should work, can you not see anything on the bottom of the page? I can see the editor in Chrome and it works, however in Firefox the editor is broken but still there.

'can you not see anything on the bottom of the page'

Solved!

Scroll down and the editor is there, I hadn't even noticed. Until last week you didn't have to scroll, only the editor itself was visible once clicking invoice/reminder/payment etc and the placeholders were only visible when clicking the small blue i button.

Sorry to have wasted your time (ps for what it's worth i'd be tempted to revert to how it was previously)

This hasn't worked for me for some days either so I've had to delay sending invoices out which obviously isn't ideal. The HTML mark up text does disappear in Chrome for me now, but it would be good to see it working in FF.

I can see there were some changes to that page a week ago, those may have broken something.

I'll look into if the old behaviour can be restored.

Lajos

Hi,

The editor should be working again now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
