Incorrect error: Due date must be after the Invoice date

Problem reported by Simon Jackson 9 years ago

I'm attempting to add a new purchase invoice, and keep getting the error 'Due date must be after the Invoice date' (even though Due date is definitely after Date):

file

I've tried re-entering both the invoice date and the due date from scratch, but no joy: the error keeps occurring and I have no idea why.

Even more irritating is that invoice rows that I've deleted when editing this copied invoice keep reappearing after clicking Save and the error occurring.

I've reported these same problems over a year ago, so it's exceptionally irritating to have a horrendous new design for the invoice creation page but with the same, simple bugs still present!

Sorry Simon,

You can go back to the old design if you like - just click on the Preview link at the top of the menu and hit the Stop button beside the invoice creation menu. We brought the revert option back very soon after the release of the new design - I think there are going to be big changes to this new menu in future based on the feedback.

The error you are getting is usually caused by the beta feature - Fast entry date fields. This has a very low priority at the moment in comparison to other development projects, however, we do have a very similar feature to this which should be working. If you toggle on Keyboard shortcuts on the Settings>Configure system>Toggle features menu it should also allow you to use shorthand date formats (you would also need to toggle off the beta feature in the Business (icon)>Settings menu)
