Built in Invoice Theme -Customer Name and Address in one line

Problem reported by Cecille Batestil 8 years ago

Hi,

We have used the clearbooks built in theme for our invoice.

However, the address goes in the same line as the client name.

Could you please let us know on a way to fix this?

Thank you and best regards, Cecille

Hi Cecille,

Just a quick update.

It appears that there was a defect for accounts with Netherlands set as the country under the organisation settings. However, our developers have now resolved this where the address should show on a separate line now.

Thanks,

Tommy

Thanks Tommy.

I shall wait for your reply.

Best regards, Cecille

Hi Cecille,

Ah right, I am unsure to as why this has happened and will forward this onto our developers to investigate.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused, I will update you as soon as this has been resolved!

Thank you for your patience,

Tommy

Hi Tommy,

I have used the built in theme from the start but, it has given me the same problem, the reason why I tried to create a theme.

I now revert back to the built it theme and it still combines the address and the customer name.

Please see attached.

Hi Cecille,

Ah right, I have spoken with our developers, when reverting back to the Basic Editor, this does not change the CSS back to the default settings. Did you create this invoice theme or select one from our templates?

In this case, it is best to use one of our Built-In themes or to create a new invoice theme which should solve the problem.

Please let me know, thanks!

Tommy

Hi Tommy,

That was actually what I had done at first. But, it has given me the format that I have sent you.

That is the reason why I have created a theme instead.

Could you please check on why is that so?

Thank you and best regards, Cecille

Hi Cecille,

The best solution would be to revert back the Basic editor, where the invoice theme will have our default settings and the address will be separate from the customer name. To do this, you must head to Settings > Configure System > Invoice Themes > Click Edit next to the relevant theme > Styling > Choose Basic in the Editor dropdown, as shown below:

Otherwise, on the invoice, you would have to select any of our Built-In Themes.

Hi,

Thank you.

I have actually tried to edit it in CSS but, we still cannot edit it.

If you take a look at the screen shot I have sent, the address of the customer is in the same line as the name of the customer.

It is not presentable to send to our customer and so its stopped me from continuing with the invoicing.

Could you please let me know what is the best theme to use in order for me not to mess up the format of my invoice?

Thank you and best regards, Cecille

Hi Cecille,

It appears that you've sent in a duplicate question, here is my previous response:

I have removed the screenshot to avoid sharing sensitive information with the public. Also, I have taken a look at the account, it appears that in Settings > Configure System > Invoice Themes > For your personal theme, you have used our Advanced Editor. To amend the layout, you will have to edit your CSS code or revert back to our Basic editor, as shown below:

Unfortunately, I do not have expertise in web designing and would not be able to assist with CSS enquiries.

Thanks,

Tommy
