Property Account is Referred to as Business but I’m just a Person

I have created a property account for MTD but it refers to the property account as a Business/Organisation, but I’m just an individual tax payer not an actual business and am unsure how this information will be reported to HMRC. For the moment I have just entered my name in the Business Name field … is this OK/correct ?

Hi Dawn,

Yes this is correct as per HMRC, please see HMRC guidance - "UK properties are treated as one 'UK property business'".
