discount applied to line items

Often Freight & perhaps packaging may be added to an invoice. Also if several items are included then discounts may only be required on certain line items. Currently the discounting feature only allows for application of the discount throughout the whole invoice. This means that the cost of freight and packing has to be artificially inflated to account for the discount to be applied.

Hi Graham,

Instead of using the discount feature which will currently apply a percentage discount to the whole invoice try the following -

Create a separate line item with a negative amount in the unit price - make sure to put discount in the details box. You can add as many of the negative valued line items depending on how the number of discounts you need to apply.
