Can't Approve Expenses

After putting a check mark on unapproved expenses and click Approve, I was redirected to a blank page at
https://secure.clearbooks.co.uk/{company name}/accounting/expenses/review/
Then, nothing happened. Going back to the refreshed expenses page showed that the items remained unapproved.
Repeating the process didn't solve the problem. Something not right for sure. Used to be working fine. I am an experienced user -- I know what I am doing.
Please investigate.
