P&L month titles and no confidence

Problem reported by colin miller 10 years ago

The top of my P&L currently looks like this:

Jan 14 Mar 14 Mar 14 May 14 May 14 Jul 14 Jul 14 Aug 14 Oct 14 Oct 14 Dec 14

How are we supposed to rely on and trust this software when the simplest of things cant even be made right? I am starting to have serious doubts about this package which is a shame as Ive been using it for over 5 years.

Hi Colin,

I am very sorry about this, Colin. This is a known issue which we are already working on and hope to have resolve very soon.

Once again, I am sorry for any inconvenience that this is causing you.

Many Thanks

Chris

I hope somebody is working overtime on this. I'm getting it in the neck from my clients, a basic summary being WTF type comments. This problem needs to get off our screens pronto, as it is very damaging to the reputation of the software. Also it's not just fixing the problem, there needs to be a thorough investigation into how bugs like this can get into the live system. Don't like feeling on the back foot with my clients. Quickbooks is now half the price of ClearBooks, the competition is hotting up so you must keep an eye on quality as well as feature development. Lecture over lol. Delete me at will ;-)

Hi Colin and Stephen,

I'm really sorry about the P&L column heading issue, this should now be resolved.

You are right Stephen these sort of bugs should never go live. All new updates to the system go through rigorous tests by the development team and then get passed on to the dedicated QA team to test further before release. Obviously something went wrong in this case and I will escalate this to the senior development team to investigate why and learn from this mistake.

If there are any other issues you have just let me know otherwise have a great weekend both.
