When using Quick pay on an unpaid invoice the thousand comma is messing up the payment amount

Problem reported by David Heath 10 years ago

We are trying to use the quick payment to make a payment on an unpaid invoice and the thousand comma (for example £1,000.00 ) is messing up the payment. As far as I can tell its interpreting this comma as a full stop so instead of £1,000.00 its taking it as £1.00.

If you require any further details please let me know.

Hi David,

I've tried to replicate this issue on our demo account and I found that it indeed interprets the comma as a full stop during the initial payment, but if you then enter the £1,000.00 amount in the amount field with the comma in and click the pay button, it should pay off the invoice with the correct amount this time round overriding the first payment.

Please view screenshots below of the above finding:

I presume it's a glitch in the software and will therefore escalate it with one of our developers to have a look into fixing this issue ASAP. Nevertheless, you can still pay off the invoice using the £1,000.00 amount, it just that you have to do the work twice.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience so far.

All the best,

Shaz

Hi David & Stephen,

I can confirm the issue has been escalated with our technical team, but for the time being the issue can be resolved by taking out the comma from the amount figure.

All the best,

Shaz

Clicking PAY again a second time sorts it but just thought i'd let you guys know.

Hi David, Stephen & Kevin

I can confirm the issue with the quick pay on unpaid invoices greater then £1,000 has been resolved.

I apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Many thanks,

Anan
