Manual VAT Return

Question asked by Ian Akers 10 years ago

Hi - is it possible to manually create a VAT Return?

I can create one by date range, but I have a need to exclude certain invoices (that I can't mark as VAT Exempt - but they don't go into my VAT Return).

So i guess the question is how do I create a VAT Return without having to use the Date Range selectors on Reports -> Tax -> VAT Return ?

Thanks

Hi Ian,

Please can you tell me which CB's account it is for, by emailing this to contact support FOA Shaz, so I can take a look into this for you.

I read your comment in another post, I believe you want to show VAT on an invoice but not include it on your VAT return. You should be able to select a VAT treatment which sets the invoice outside of scope, whilst showing 20% VAT rate on the invoice.

To get the VAT treatment box to show up on an invoice, you need to toggle on reverse charge by heading to settings > organisation > toggle features and clicking on the VAT & bank import tool link.

I look forward to your ticket.

All the best,

Shaz

Hi Ian,

Can I ask if you're on standard VAT registered?

I look forward to your response.

Shaz

Hi - No, I'm on a FRS.

Hi Shaz,

Thanks for this. I'll drop you a line now... but for anyone else reading this thread, toggling on that feature seems to have given me the option box I needed.

Many thanks Ian
