Deleting a deposit

Question asked by Sarah Brazer 10 years ago

Hi,

I am a new user to both Clearbooks and accounting in general. I've been delayed by my bank with problems with Internet access so finally decided today to try to manually start my accounts while they continue to sort themselves out. In trying to work out what to put where I created a deposit which I now realise is wrong. I thought it would be easy to undo but I am not being offered any option to delete it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Sarah,

The easiest way to remove this item will be to go to Receipts and click on the Receipt Number. This will take you into the transaction and here you will see a red void button. Please click on this to remove the item.

I hope that helps.

Hi Sarah,

If you could please give me your account name and the details of this transaction I will have a look at it for you and advise the best way to handle this issue?

Many Thanks

Chris

Thank you.

My account name is Sarah Brazer (QP) Ltd and it's the only transaction in there.

Perfect thanks.

Is there a simple guide I can refer to for basic use (without bank imports) so I don't make more mistakes?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Sarah,

We have a range of online guides for all aspects of the system. You can easily find these by search 'Clear Books' and the aspect you wish to know. There is a comprehensive user guide, however, I believe that it goes into areas of the system which you would not be using.
