Dividend incorrect and stuck in system

Question asked by Richard Cook 10 years ago

Hi, I have made a mistake here..

I created a dividend payment for this coming Friday.

Two problems:-

1 I made a mistake with the amount 2 I don't know how to correct or delete the entries

I can't see the entries in Transactions (filtering a future date) - I understand this is the normal place to remove them from?

Thanks again..

Hi Richard,

Just to let you know that the development team have now managed to add in the delete dividend functionality. Just head to Purchases>Dividends and use the delete icon under the options column.

Hi Richard,

Is the dividend you created on the Purchases>Dividends menu correct? If it just the payment that you made - how did you originally make this - was it by explaining the payment on an imported statement?

No the amount is wrong - i forgot that CB splits the amount across its directors.

No payment has been made yet as I did this in anticipation of the payment on Friday

On the new dividend tool, when you create a dividend the system generates a journal. If you head to Tools>Journals it should be listed here. You can delete the journal here by clicking on the view icon (under the options column) and hitting the cancel icon.

The dividend itself cannot currently be deleted - the technical team are working on an update for this. If you like I can ask them to remove it from your account?

In the mean time as soon as you delete the journal you can re-create the dividend with the correct amount.

Thanks, yes please - there are no Journal entries for the div??? If they can delete it that would be great, thanks!
