Paying off credit notes

Can anyone tell me how I can match off as paid invoices to credit notes when no bank activity required. Any info useful. Thanks

You can't 'pay off' a credit note I'm afraid. In Clear Books a credit note can only be used to offset the invoice/bill before its marked as fully paid.
If a cash refund has actually changed hands you'd use the refund tab instead of creating a credit note in the first place.
