Google Invoice

Question asked by Michelle Underwood 9 years ago

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help - we have received an invoice from google which at the bottom reads - " Services subject to the reverse charge - VAT to be accounted for by the recipient as per Article 196 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC" Our accountants have explained how they would account for this manually but they do not know how to process the invoice through clear books. Please could some one advise?? Many thanks

Hi Michelle - depending on where Google is based, you use 0% VAT and one of the VAT treatments "services from EU supplier" or "services from supplier os EU" and CB handles the VAT entries for you, so will put dummy 20% VAT in boxes 1 & 4 as well as the cost in boxes 6 & 7.

PS: If you can't see the VAT treatments mentioned you need to Toggle on "Reverse charge & EC rates" in Settings>Toggles
