Explaining imported statements

Hi I'm trying to explain a cash withdrawal of 130.00 by cash point ... £125.00 is for a refund to a customer .... which there is a refund in clear books to show this but its not finding it and the other £5.00 is for parking expenses which there is a clear books entry for ???? any advice gratefully received

Hi Jill,

It's probably going to be best to create a new cash bank account (if you don't already have one) on the Money>Bank accounts menu:

Once you have added this you can explain the £130 withdrawal as a transfer from your business account to the cash account:

Finally you can quick pay your refund using the cash account by heading to the Sales>Invoices>Unpaid menu and clicking on the invoice number:

And you can create the £5 parking expense as a money out transaction on the Money>Bank accounts menu for the cash account:

Agree with John. However. if you're a one person limited company i'd be tempted to just stick the transfer to the DLA instead of creating a separate petty cash account, it helps deal with any loose change left over.
