DLA as an item on a bank reconciliation

Question asked by Kate Lloyd 10 years ago

Hi

I am trying to reconcile credit card expenditure. One item on the receipt is personal expenditure on a company credit card. Am I right in thinking this should go in the Director's Loan Acct? If so, I can't transfer part of the total receipt from one acct to another. It will only let me transfer the whole thing. Do I need to delete the line from the bank upload and enter it as 2 separate items or am I missing something else?

Thanks for your help

Kate

Hi Kate,

You could try splitting up the payment on the statement by changing the amount -

So in this example I am explaining a payment of £100 and have changed the amount to £50 to explain an expense:

I can then explain the second part as a transfer by selecting the DLA account:

And finally confirm it like so:

One thing to note is that you may need to make sure your DLA is shown in purchases on the Settings>Codes list before explaining:

Perfect, thanks John
