Hello,
New to clear books & just setting up. Very impressed so far.
My trading name is different to my Ltd company name. Is there any way to add the trading name which I need to appear on invoices etc.
I also do not wish to confuse submissions to hmrc, so am reluctant to change the company name to the trading name - or is this the only solution?

Hi Simon
You can enable any trading title via Projects. If not already there, switch on Projects in Settings>Toggle features and, in order to invoice showing the Project name (rather than the company name) go to the "Invoicing & Expenses" page of Toggles and switch on " Project Invoices"
Projects then appear in tools where you can set up the trading name you want, and make sure you set "Show name on Invoices".
You will then have to make sure that the project name is chosen when creating your invoices.
The company name must still appear on any company paperwork and you should see it at the bottom, where it also states the registered office.
