I've noticed previously that some PAYE bills, once imported into the accounts, end up posted as the first day of the following month instead of 30th/31st when the payroll itself is dated.
Any particular reason?

I have only seen this happen where payday is a day which does not exist in that month, so for example if payday is the 31st but the month is February then the bill ends up in March.
Could this explain what you are seeing?

Best answerYep, that's very possibly it then. April's bills have ended up being dated 1st May likely because the payroll is set for 31st of the month.
It's not the end of the world by any means but it would be useful if the dev's could have a look at some point. If the payday is set to 31st but there's only 28 days in the month the date within payroll automatically changes to the 28th so it stands to reason the bill should be dated then too.
Not a biggy, just a tad annoying at times and could essentially throw somebody's year-end out slightly if not picked up before the accounts are produced.

You are quite right that the behavior in Payroll and in the accounts should be consistent. I'll report it as a bug and hopefully they will be able to fix it at some point.

My payroll has done this today, I've never had this problem before. Dated payroll for 30th June, and it's been posted on 1st July. How do I change it back to 30th June?

Thanks, I did that before I asked, but forgot the accrual date needed changing also. Have done it now.
