Hi Granville,
Is GC toggled on your account at the moment (it's an optional feature)? Anyone using GC has the option of taking direct debit payments directly from Clear Books (via GC). If invoices are paid using GC, a payment is applied automatically to the invoice in Clear Books (a GoCardless transaction fee is also generated automatically by the system).
One of the main benefits of GC is that customers can create a recurring invoice template and set it to take payments from a GC pre-authorisations automatically each week/month/year - quite useful if you have a subscription type system (or anything similar).
Of course it is only direct debits - hopefully, we will be adding integrations with other payment systems in future.
How do I get out of go cardless
Hi Granville,
Are you actually talking about your Clear Books subscription - is that currently paid by direct debit?
