emailing sales invoices to customer

my invoices are marked as sent but do not arrive, I previously asked this question and was advised to try an email other than yahoo, i have tried sending to btinternet and also gmail but still nothing, now im resorting to downloading pdfs and emailing from my own email address but this kind of defeats the purpose, has anyone else had this issue?

Hi Lorraine,

Firstly, please go to Contacts>Emails> Email settings. You will see the SMTP settings area that you will need to fill in with the details of your email provider. You will find these on their website. This should rectify your issue.

Secondly, for convenience, you might want to go to Settings> Configure System> Toggle Features> Invoicing & Expenses, scroll down to the bottom of the page and toggle on Email with attached PDF. This will automatically create and attach a PDF of your invoices to emails sent to customers.
